New Business Development Lead, Contractor

We are seeking a freelance New Business Development Lead, Contractor to pursue new client and business opportunities for Acronym’s strategic and sustained revenue growth. You will keep the sales pipeline well stocked with high-caliber prospects, contribute to our forward-thinking agenda, and maintain the stellar conversion rates that define our success.
This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a hunter role and will have an impact on pipeline immediately. You’ll be responsible for identifying, targeting, and closing new business opportunities, with full ownership of the sales cycle, from outreach to signed contract.
This is the Job:
- Develop and articulate a visionary sales strategy that aligns with the agency’s long-term goals, driving sustained growth and market leadership.
- Leverage multiple channels to generate new leads, significantly increase revenue through innovative sales strategies, high-value client acquisition, and the expansion of existing client relationships.
- Identify and exploit new market opportunities, ensuring the agency’s services reach a broader audience and penetrate new industries.
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to align sales objectives with the agency’s overall strategic plan, ensuring cohesive and synergistic growth efforts.
- Oversee the optimization of sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the sales function.
- Ensure world-class output throughout the business development process including RFI/RFP sourcing, execution, pitches, and negotiations.
- Lead the development and presentation of compelling pitches and proposals that effectively communicate the agency's value proposition and creative solutions.
- Leverage advanced analytics and insights to inform sales strategies, track performance metrics, and adjust tactics to maximize outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, identify threats, and seize opportunities for differentiation.
- Drive the development and adoption of innovative sales approaches and solutions that enhance client value and position the agency as a market leader.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure the highest return on investment and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports and growth forecasts to the CEO and board of directors, demonstrating accountability and strategic foresight.
This is you:
- 10+ years of demonstrated success in business development, sales or related role within the digital advertising industry.
- Experience with performance media, analytics and/or agency environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a robust industry network.
- Well-honed lead generation and deal negotiation abilities
- Entrepreneurial, detail oriented, and capable of meeting aggressive timelines while juggling multiple projects without sacrificing quality or responsiveness.
- Curiosity and technical aptitude to master new technologies
- Highly driven, confident in your ability to open doors.
- Results-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a freelance/contract opportunity that is paid hourly and commissioned, with an expected duration of 3-6 months.
