Contractor - Director, Client Strategy, Media (Part-time)

We are looking for a freelance, hands-on, Director, Client Strategy, Media contractor to work directly with the senior leadership on managing client relationship and campaign initiatives.
This is an hourly, part-time, contract position.
This is the job:
- Account / Planning / Strategy lead across several clients in CPG, B2B, Luxury categories
- Assist with planning and strategy on other Acronym accounts as needed
- Partner with client and internal Acronym team to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Partner with internal team members to develop, integrate and optimize omni-channel, full funnel media plans
- Regularly communicate with clients and lead meetings as needed
- Collaborate and coordinate with respective teams within the agency to manage client requests and expectations for in-house tools
- Translate client business objectives into research design, ensuring insights are aligned with the client’s media strategy and goals.
- Synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that inform client decision-making and media planning.
- Champion innovation in media analytics, staying ahead of emerging tools, platforms, and measurement standards.
- Serve as a consultative strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding them on campaign planning decisions through evidence-based insights.
- Confidently delivers high-impact presentations, on high quality story-driven reports, tailored to client needs and business context.
- Contribute to determining resource allocation across client accounts, balancing strategic depth with delivery efficiency.
- Represent the media client service function in enterprise-wide initiatives or thought leadership efforts.
This is you:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working in an agency environment, with strong focus on media effectiveness, audience insights or campaign performance.
- Agency Planning/Strategy team background preferred.
- Deep understanding of digital media ecosystems, and cross-platform measurement methodologies.
- Proven ability to translate complex research findings into strategic recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience leading client engagements, including presenting insights, managing expectations, and driving media strategy alignment.
- Experience in leading QBRs and other client presentations.
- Ability to navigate an agency or client environments, balancing strategic depth with delivery efficiency.
- Demonstrated analytical ability to assess the performance of a variety of media channels to build holistic recommendations around media allocation and ROI.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to multitask, have attention to detail and effectively manage multiple projects.
- Possess strong client service skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of developing strategy.
- Proficient to expert with MS Office suite.
